Our Story

The Dear Donut has long been a local favorite, known for its delicious donuts and friendly atmosphere, and Jasmin and Gerard are proud to carry that legacy forward into a new chapter. After beginning their transition into ownership in 2024, they saw the shop as both a new opportunity and a full-circle moment for their family. Gerard, a recently retired Kershaw County School Resource Officer at Wateree Elementary, now brings his dedication to service from the school hallway to the donut counter, while Jasmin fulfills her lifelong dream of owning a food business in the very place that “felt like fate.”

What We Serve

Under Jasmin and Gerard’s leadership, The Dear Donut is refreshing and expanding its offerings while keeping the classics locals already love. Alongside our signature donuts, guests can enjoy:

Fresh breakfast sandwiches made to start the day right
A wide range of Lattes and Frappes for a cool, flavorful treat
Boba teas and specialty teas with fun, customizable options
Energy drinks and custom flavor blends for an extra boost

Extended hours are being introduced to better serve early-morning commuters, busy students, and families throughout the day, making it easier to fit a donut (or two) into any schedule.

More than a bakery, The Dear Donut is designed to be a local gathering place where people feel at home, whether they are grabbing a quick coffee or lingering over a box of donuts with friends.
